NIO Denies Rumor of Acquiring Audi's Brussels Factory

Regarding the rumor that NIO is in talks to acquire Audi's factory in Brussels, Belgium, Li Bin denied it, saying, There's nothing. We haven't contacted Audi. He also jokingly said that if Audi can't afford to maintain the factory, NIO can't afford it even more.

According to the Belgian media DeTijd's report on the 18th local time, Audi is actively looking for a buyer for the factory in the Vorst area of Brussels, Belgium. If the factory closes, 2910 employees will face unemployment. TapTechNews note: Volkswagen decided not to produce cars in Vorst anymore after producing the last batch of electric SUV Q8 e-tron next year.

It is reported that within the past few weeks, a delegation from NIO has visited this factory. Currently, NIO is preparing a bid and must submit it to the Volkswagen Group by next Monday.
