TapTechNews noted that Microsoft ended its official support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 in January 2023, and Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers have also terminated their support for these systems.

Mozilla announced as early as November 2022 that it is considering extending the end date of support for the Firefox browser. The company released the Extended Support Release (ESR) of Firefox in March 2023 and Firefox version 115 later in July of that year.

The Mozilla website currently shows that Firefox version 115 is the last version to support Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 systems. If the promise by the official personnel is true, then Mozilla is expected to change this announcement later.
