Tesla Withdrew from the 2024 CAS Auto Show in Shanghai after Two Days

TapTechNews August 14th news, according to the August 11th report of Xinwen Chenbao, at the 2024 CAS Auto Show held in Shanghai, Tesla unilaterally withdrew from the exhibition after only two days of participation.

On August 10th, at the entrance of the National Exhibition and Convention Center, there was a poster statement: Dear audience, we are sorry to inform you that on the second day of this CAS Auto Show, Tesla unilaterally and temporarily withdrew from the exhibition on its own. For the audience who came to see the exhibition because of Tesla, you can go to the North Hall service desk to register for a refund. Thank you for your support to the CAS Auto Show!

Inside the exhibition hall, there were only a few tables and chairs left at the original Tesla booth, and there was also a same statement at the booth, and there were no Tesla brand salespeople on the scene.

The Xinwen Chenbao report also mentioned that the promotional poster of the Auto Show stated that customers can participate in the lottery activity ranging from $15 to $700 ($1000 to $4999) when purchasing a car on the spot, but buying a Tesla cannot participate in the lottery.

Regarding this report, Tesla has not responded officially for the time being.
