PPSSPP Game Emulator Officially Available on Apple App Store

TapTechNews fans Nankeliangmeng, Shenzhenzi, Alucard, and Quanke Xiaozi provided clues! TapTechNews reported on May 16th that the well-known game emulator PPSSPP officially landed on the Apple App Store today, supporting iPhone/iPad/VisionPro (not macOS), with a package size of 36.1MB and built-in Simplified Chinese. Developer Henrik Rydgård claimed on his own blog that the App Store version of PPSSPP has some limitations compared to the jailbreak version. The biggest issue is that Apple does not allow the use of a Just-in-Time compiler to recompile code for the operating system, so the application has some discounts in simulation efficiency. However, Rydgård believes that these restrictions will not be a problem as the performance of iOS devices can already directly simulate almost all PSP games. In addition, the App Store version of PPSSPP does not currently support the Magic Keyboard for the iPad, and this feature will be restored in the future. PPSSPP is compatible with iOS 12+/iPadOS 12+/visionOS 1.0, currently only offering a free version, with a price of $4.99 USD (approximately 36 RMB) for the upcoming Gold version, which will be released later. This version has no differences from the free version and is mainly to sponsor the developers.
