After the emergency handling at the station, the train resumed operation, and there were no injuries during this period.

TapTechNews noticed that just last month, there was also a power bank spontaneous combustion incident on Shanghai Metro.

At around 2:15 pm on September 22nd, a passenger's carried power bank spontaneously combusted on the escalator from the station hall to the platform at Great World Station on Line 8. The station used a fire extinguisher to deal with it and did a good job in guiding the safe evacuation. There were no injuries, and during this period, it also received the help of enthusiastic passengers. This incident did not affect the station's operation.
