Leapmotor C16 SUV Hits 5208 Pre-Orders in 48 Hours after Launch

TapTechNews on June 30th reported that Leapmotor announced today that 5,208 units of the Leapmotor C16 were pre-ordered within 48 hours after its launch. 97% were for the medium and high-end versions (Respect version & Intelligent Driving version), with 30% for the Intelligent Driving version, and 95% chose the full accessory package.

The six-seat SUV Leapmotor C16 was launched on the evening of June 28th, offering both extended-range and pure electric dual-power versions, with three options: Smart version, Respect version, and Intelligent Driving version, starting at $2,335 (15.58 Chinese yuan). The body size of the Leapmotor C16 is 193.6*75*69.7 inches (4915*1905*1770mm), and the wheelbase is 111.4 inches (2825mm). It is equipped with NVIDIA Orin-X chips and lidar. The cabin adopts a 2+2+2 seat layout and is equipped with a 14.6-inch 2.5K ultra-clear central control screen, a 15.6-inch high-definition rear entertainment screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P smart cockpit, a 21-speaker luxury audio system, a large panoramic sunroof, three-temperature zone independent air conditioning, and an electric tailgate, etc.

In terms of power, the car offers both extended-range and pure electric dual-power versions. Among them, the pure electric version is equipped with a full-domain 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, and it takes the fastest 15 minutes from 30% to 80%. The pure electric version of this car is equipped with a 215kW driving motor and is matched with a 67.7kWh battery, and the CLTC pure electric cruising range is 323.1 miles (520km); the extended-range version is equipped with a 28.4kWh battery, the CLTC pure electric cruising range is 124.3 miles (200km), and the CLTC comprehensive working range is 680.7 miles (1095km).
