Ben Yuan Wu Kong is China's third-generation self-developed superconducting quantum computer, which went online and started operating on January 6, 2024. The quantum computer is equipped with a 72-bit self-developed superconducting quantum chip Wu Kong Chip and is currently an advanced programmable and deliverable superconducting quantum computer. This computer is named Wu Kong, meaning as powerful as the Chinese traditional mythological figure Sun Wukong, who can perform seventy-two transformations.

The Ben Yuan Wu Kong quantum computer is equipped with China's self-developed quantum chip, self-developed quantum computing measurement and control system, self-developed quantum computer operating system and self-developed quantum computer application software. The localization rate has reached 80%, and the rest of the components have been self-developed for standby.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, as of May 27, Ben Yuan Wu Kong has successfully completed 225,000 computing tasks for users in 124 countries and regions around the world, and the number of global remote visits to Wu Kong exceeded 9.38 million times. Among foreign visiting users, the number of users in the United States is at the top.
