According to the project plan, Leopard 8 will be the first model of Fangchengbao to achieve urban NOA. Leopard 8 is the second off-road vehicle of Fangchengbao, and its listing time will change from the previously planned third quarter of this year to the fourth quarter.
TapTechNews learned from the official news that Leopard 8 is built based on BYD's DMO super hybrid off-road platform and will provide the Yunyan-P active hydraulic body control system. The new car has dimensions of 5195/1994/1875 (1905) inches (approx. 172.6/78.5/73.8 (75) inches) and a wheelbase of 2920mm (approx. 115 inches).
For the power aspect, the new car is equipped with a special off-road hybrid architecture, adopting the DM-o hybrid system, including a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 200 kW (272 hp) and a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak power of 200 kW in the front and 300 kW in the rear, and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery.
Official pictures show that Leopard 8 is equipped with an inset instrument screen and a passenger side screen, while also carrying a floating central control large screen, and is matched with a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a yacht-style electronic shift mechanism, also retaining a large number of physical buttons. The official has announced two rear row layouts: seven seats of 2+3+2 and six seats of 2+2+2.
