Kioxia Launches EXCERIA with Heatsink SSD for Gamers

TapTechNews June 5th, Kioxia recently launched the EXCERIA with Heatsink solid state drive for gamers.

As the name suggests, the EXCERIA with Heatsink comes with a heatsink and can maintain high-speed operation even under strict loads, and can also be directly used as the storage expansion disk of the Sony PS5 console.

The EXCERIA with Heatsink solid state drive adopts the M.2 2280 form factor, supports the PCIe Gen4 x4 interface, and complies with the NVMe 1.4 protocol. Kioxia provides three capacity versions of 1024GB, 2048GB and 4096GB.

In terms of sequential read and write and random read, this solid state drive is superior to the SD10 (EXCERIA G3) previously launched by Kioxia, but the random write performance is poorer. TapTechNews collated the performance parameters of each version as follows:

The EXCERIA with Heatsink series of solid state drives has a MTTF time of 1.5 million hours. Kioxia provides a 5-year warranty for it, and the warranty write amounts of each version are 600/1200/2400 TBW respectively.
