Biostar Showcases Two Z890 Motherboards at COMPUTEX Taipei 2024
TapTechNews June 5th, according to foreign media TechPowerUp, Biostar showcased two LGA1851 slot Z890 motherboards supporting Intel's next-generation desktop CPUs at COMPUTEX Taipei 2024.
These two motherboards are the flagship-positioned Z890VALKYRIE 'Valkyrie' and the mainstream-positioned Z890A-SILVER 'Silver', both of which are ATX specifications and do not have a pre-installed wireless network card.

The Z890VALKYRIE continues the golden-pink double-wing element of the 'Valkyrie' family, adopting a 23-phase power supply design and is equipped with 4 DDR5 memory slots.
This motherboard provides 3 alloy-reinforced PCIe Gen5 slots. In terms of storage, it is equipped with 6 M.2 slots, of which 1 is of PCIe Gen5 specification, and the other 4 are of PCIe Gen4 specification. In addition, there are also 4 SATA3 interfaces.
The Z890VALKYRIE motherboard provides 1 USB4 40G interface supporting DP1.2 and 1 USB3.2 Gen2 x2 20G interface. In addition, there are also 11 UBS3.2 Gen2 10G interfaces and 4 USB2.0 interfaces.
This motherboard is equipped with Realtek ALC1220 sound card, and the wired network also adopts the Realtek solution, including 1 5G network port and 1 2.5G network port.
The Z890A-SILVER motherboard with a lower positioning adopts a silver-white color scheme overall, equipped with a 15-phase power supply and 4 DDR5 memory slots.
This motherboard provides a main PCIe slot of PCIe Gen5 x16 and a physical x4 PCIe Gen4 slot. Both of these slots are alloy-reinforced designs. In addition, there are also 2 ordinary PCIe x1 slots.
In terms of storage, the Z890A-SILVER provides 1 Gen5 M.2 slot and 3 Gen4 M.2 slots, and is equipped with 4 SATA3 interfaces.
This motherboard uses a non-integrated rear IO panel, providing 3 front and 2 rear USB3.2 Gen2 10G interfaces and 6 rear USB3.2 Gen1 5G interfaces, as well as 4 front USB2.0 interfaces.
Biostar also equips the Z890A-SILVER motherboard with Realtek's ALC1220 sound card and is equipped with the same 2.5G wired network card from Realtek.
