Ford RS200 and Escort Mk1 to be reissued legally roadworthy

TapTechNews June 25th news, the Ford RS200 rally car was launched in 1984. On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, Boreham Motorworks in the UK announced that it has obtained Ford's authorization to build legally roadworthy RS200 and Escort Mk1 modern reissue models.

The Ford RS200 racing car was used to participate in the WRC World Rally Championship and is equipped with a mid-mounted four-cylinder turbocharged engine, four-wheel drive system and fiberglass body.

In addition to the RS200, the company will also make a brand new Escort Mk1 model, which was also a rally star in the past and a leader on British roads in the 1960s and 1970s.

TapTechNews noticed that the company has not yet disclosed exactly how many reissue models will be built, but it is previewed that at least five more Ford iconic models will be launched in succession.
