TapTechNews September 14th news, TapTechNews learned from the Southern Metropolis Daily that on September 13th, the launching ceremony of the electric bicycle trade-in promotion campaign in Hainan Province was held in Haikou.
According to the implementation rules, from July 25th, 2024 to December 31st, 2024, for individual consumers who return the old electric bicycles registered in the whole province and purchase new electric bicycles that meet national standards at the electric bicycle sales institutions in the whole province, a one-time trade-in subsidy will be given.
For individual consumers who return the lithium-ion battery electric bicycle old vehicle and purchase a lead-acid battery electric bicycle new vehicle, a fixed subsidy of 800 yuan (about $115) will be given.
For individual consumers who return the old vehicle and purchase a new vehicle that does not belong to the above fixed subsidy conditions, a subsidy of 20% of the new vehicle's sales price will be given, with a maximum subsidy of 500 yuan (about $72).
The object of this electric bicycle trade-in subsidy is individual consumers who return the old electric bicycle under their personal name and purchase a new electric bicycle. Returning the old electric bicycle and purchasing the new electric bicycle should both be during the period from July 25th, 2024 to December 31st, 2024.
