Chery iCAR's Future Extended-Range Plans and iCAR V23 Details

The previously officially announced new car iCAR V23 has already completed the summer test work in Xinjiang, but it is not quite sure whether the extended-range model can be launched simultaneously with the pure electric model.
The official image of iCAR V23 has been released in the first half of this year. The new car adopts a tough square box exterior design. Looking from the side, the shape of iCAR V23 is angular, equipped with hidden door handles, side steps, and widened wheel arches, etc. There is also a small backpack at the rear of the car body. Compared to the cool black version, the white iCAR V23 has a bit more fashion sense.
TapTechNews learned from the official that iCAR V23 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8155 cockpit chip + Qualcomm 5G, and will be equipped with a 2.5K high-definition large screen, 3D HMI based on the Unreal Engine, and support for wireless Carplay, mainstream game consoles and VR glasses.
In terms of intelligent driving, the car is equipped with the Horizon J3 + TDA4 chip, and is equipped with an 800-watt front-view camera + a 300-watt surround-view camera, providing 5 millimeter-wave radars, and supporting high-speed NOA, memory parking, L2++ intelligent driving, etc.
iCAR V23 is a model jointly created by Chery and Zhimi Technology. It is expected to provide single-motor two-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions. Among them, the range of the four-wheel drive version is more than 500 miles and will be launched within the year.
Chery Automobile once said in April this year that iCAR V23 will be launched when it is polished to the most perfect state by the end of this year. The car has a wheelbase of 2730mm, and the body is wider and taller than the Jeep Wrangler Sahara, and has a larger wheel diameter.
In terms of pricing, the official said that $99,000 is really impossible. The current industry average price of the four-wheel drive high-end version + 500km range is more than $160,000. The style difference between the two models is that iCAR03 takes the exquisite route, while iCAR V23 is the style off-road, and the two are significantly different when put together.
