On June 2, TapTechNews reported that NVIDIA has officially introduced the SFF-Ready specification for GeForce RTX gaming graphics cards and chassis in cooperation with graphics card and chassis manufacturers to simplify the component selection process for small-sized chassis.
It is reported that currently, 15 graphics card and chassis manufacturers such as ASUS, Cooler Master, and Phanteks have participated in the SFF-Ready project.
The SFF-Ready GeForce gaming graphics card is for RTX 4070 and above models, and the size requirements are as follows:
Maximum height: 151mm, including the bending radius of the power cable
Maximum length: 304mm
Maximum thickness: 50mm or 2.5 slots
As of June 2, 2024, a total of 36 GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards comply with the specification, and more graphics cards will be unveiled in the coming days of Computex 2024 in Taipei. The specific list is as follows:
The NVIDIA SFF-Ready chassis specification supports two graphics card installation methods:
From the motherboard/transfer PCB to the side panel/top panel requires 6.08 inches (154.5mm) of space
The chassis needs to have a 12.28 inches (312mm) length space
The chassis support list provided by NVIDIA is as follows:
TapTechNews reported earlier today that ASUS has launched a new PRIME RTX 40 series graphics card with a length of 10.6 inches (269mm) and a thickness of 2 inches (50mm), meeting the SFF-Ready standard.
