Apple Halts Signing for iOS 17.5

TapTechNews May 29th news, Apple today released an announcement, announcing the halt of signing for iOS 17.5, meaning that users who have already upgraded cannot downgrade again.

Apple typically prevents users from installing older versions of iOS to encourage customers to keep their operating system up to date and to prevent downgrading to older, less secure iPhone operating system versions.

TapTechNews note: Apple released the official version updates of iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 on May 14th. The update content of the Chinese version shows that this update launched a brand new 'Rainbow Glow' wallpaper for the lock screen and includes other enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates for the iPhone.

iOS 17.5.1 update released by Apple last week is still available for signing, mainly providing some important bug fixes and addressing the problem that in very few cases, database corruption causes deleted photos to possibly reappear in the 'Photos' gallery.
