Microsoft to Reshape Brand, Rename MicrosoftCopilot to Microsoft365Copilot

TapTechNews August 24th news, the tech media TheVerge released a blog post yesterday (August 23rd), reporting that Microsoft is brewing a new round of brand reshaping, and the main brand of MicrosoftCopilot will be renamed Microsoft365Copilot.

TapTechNews quoted the media report that this change is mainly to promote the paid AI service under Microsoft365, and the previous name MicrosoftCopilot for Microsoft365 will also be renamed Microsoft365Copilot.

The Verge teased in the blog post: Microsoft is reshaping the Copilot brand in the most Microsoft way, the marketing (more precisely, renaming) team is on the move again, so be prepared to welcome some confusing Copilot changes.

The brand reshaping also extends to individual applications, and the simplified names such as Copilot in Word will be changed to Microsoft365Copilot in Word.

Other specific Copilot services, such as sales, services, and finance, will also adopt names like Microsoft365Copilot for Sales.

Microsoft has also launched a new brand for the chat module in its Microsoft365Copilot, named Business Chat.

This brand reshaping mainly affects Microsoft's artificial intelligence products. Microsoft's chief artificial intelligence executive, Mustafa Suleyman, said that the Copilot tools for consumers will not change at this stage.
