NIO's First Fourth-Generation Battery Swap Station in Beijing Goes Online, Significantly Enhancing Service Capabilities
TapTechNews August 12th news, today NIO's first fourth-generation battery swap station in Beijing officially went online. This station is located in the 1314-P4 ground parking lot of Beitou Aoyuan in Olympic Sports Center Middle Road, equipped with 4 supercharging piles (640kW*2, 120kW*2). The 24-hour operating parking fee is $0.25 per 10 minutes, and it's free within 10 minutes. This station fills the blank of the battery swap station in this area. After going online, it will not only serve a large number of local users' daily travel and commuting, but also provide efficient and convenient energy replenishment services for out-of-town tourists coming to Beijing.
According to TapTechNews, NIO's fourth-generation battery swap station is standardly equipped with 6 ultra-wide-angle LiDARs and 4 OrinX chips, with a computing power of 1016 TOPS, and supports one-click automatic battery swap and valet battery swap. Compared to the previous generation, NIO's fourth-generation battery swap station's battery swap speed has increased by 22%, and it only takes 2 minutes and 24 seconds at the fastest, and the number of battery positions has increased to 23. The daily service frequency can reach up to 480 times, and the battery swap efficiency and service capabilities have been comprehensively improved.
At the same time, NIO's 640kW all-liquid-cooled super-fast charging pile that went online simultaneously, the single-pile maximum power is 640kW, the maximum output current is 765A, and the maximum output voltage is 1000V, adopts self-developed liquid-cooled charging gun cables, and the gun only weighs 1.09 kg and can be easily operated with one hand.
As of August 12th, NIO has now laid out 107 battery swap stations in Beijing (excluding the removed battery swap stations), 147 charging stations, and the coverage rate of electric area houses exceeds 90%, and has cumulatively provided users with more than 5 million charging and battery swap energy replenishment services.
At the same time, NIO has laid out 8 NIO Houses, 10 NIO Spaces, 3 NIO Experience Centers, and 18 Service Centers in Beijing.
