According to AndroidAuthority, sources within Google revealed that Google plans to launch a series of brand-new machine learning functions named Google AI, including a new feature similar to Microsoft's controversial Review feature.

TapTechNews noted that Google AI will include a combination of old and new functions. For example, the word highlighting search function is already available on Pixel series and some third-party devices, while the Gemini function can be used on all Android phones.

However, this time Google will also introduce three brand-new functions: The first is the AddMe function, aiming to ensure that everyone is in the group photo. Although there is not much information about this function, it sounds like an upgraded version of the BestTake function, which can not only change the expressions of people in the photos but also merge photos with different people. The BestTake function was initially released in the Pixel 8 series and is controversial but still practical.

The second new function is the Studio. This should be the previously mentioned creative assistant application. Previously discovered clues show that this application will be integrated into the screenshot editor application of the Pixel series to allow users to create stickers.

However, from the description of the screenshot above, it seems that this application can do much more than creating stickers. It may be a generative AI image generator similar to Apple's Image Playground. It is worth noting that Google has already been developing its own image and even video generation models.

The last and most notable function is the Pixel Screenshot. The Pixel Screenshot function is very similar to Microsoft's controversial Review function. Review is an exclusive feature of Windows 11 and only applies to the new Copilot Plus computers. It automatically screenshots the content displayed on the screen and uses AI to allow users to quickly find the needed information. However, many people have criticized this function for privacy issues, and Microsoft has suspended the launch of this function to address these problems.

Google's version is more privacy-focused: it does not automatically screenshot everything the user is doing, but only applies to the screenshots taken by the user themselves. When the user takes a screenshot, the application will add some additional metadata to it, such as the app name, web links, etc. After that, it will be processed by the local AI. This version allows users to ask relevant questions to the robot assistant by searching the content of the screenshot.
