Fiat Announces New GrandePanda Model with Details and Future Plans
TapTechNews July 15th news, Stellantis announced more configuration and price information of the new GrandePanda model at the 125th anniversary celebration of Fiat.
Fiat's classic small car Panda series will welcome the new GrandePanda model in 2025. The car is 3990 millimeters long and is inspired by the Panda model in the 1980s, and it is on the same platform as the new Citroen C3.
The new Fiat GrandePanda model will launch pure electric and mild hybrid versions:
Pure electric version: 44 kWh battery, 83 kW motor, 199 miles (about 320.26 kilometers) WLTP range, and the price is less than £22,000 (TapTechNews note: currently about 208,000 yuan).
Mild hybrid version: The price is less than £20,000 (currently about 189,000 yuan).
Fiat has not yet announced the power parameters of the mild hybrid version of the GrandePanda model. For reference, the mild hybrid version of the Citroen C3 on the same platform is equipped with a 1.2T three-cylinder engine + 48V mild hybrid system, and the maximum output power is 100 kW.
According to the introduction, the GrandePanda model marks Fiat's return to the global mainstream market. It is designed by the Fiat Center in Turin, Italy, and the front directly integrates a 7 kW AC charging cable.
In addition, Fiat also showed derivative concept cars PandaFastback and GigaPanda, and confirmed that it will be put into mass production in the future.
