Suzuki GSX-8R Sports Motorcycle Launched in China with Impressive Features
TapTechNews August 20th news, Suzuki China today launched the GSX-8R sports motorcycle. This bike is equipped with a parallel twin-cylinder engine, has a fuel tank capacity of 3.7 gallons (about 14 liters), and comes with three colors to choose from, and the price is 99,800 yuan ($14,100).
In terms of appearance, the Suzuki GSX-8R adopts a racing-style design, equipped with a front fairing, recessed headlights, a new liquid crystal instrument, and intuitive handlebar switches. The front headlights and position lights of this bike are both LED light sources.
The Suzuki GSX-8R measures 84.8×30.3×44.7 inches (2155×770×1135mm), with a wheelbase of 57.7 inches (1465mm), a seat height of 31.9 inches (810mm), and a curb weight of 452 pounds (205kg). It offers three color options: metallic blue, metallic gray, and metallic black.
In terms of riding configuration, the GSX-8R adopts Suzuki's S.I.R.S smart riding system, including a driving mode selector (SDMS), traction control system (STCS), electronically controlled throttle system, two-way quick shift system, Suzuki one-button start system, and low-speed assistance, etc. This bike is also equipped with a Hitachi SFF-BP upside-down front fork, cast aluminum wheels, and Dunlop RoadSport2 radial tires.
In terms of power, the Suzuki GSX-8R adopts a short muffler design, equipped with a 776cc twin-cylinder four-stroke engine, and is equipped with cross double balance shafts. The fuel tank capacity of this bike is 3.7 gallons (14 liters), the engine oil tank capacity is 1 gallon (3.9 liters), and the fuel consumption under WMTC conditions is 12.6 miles per gallon (23.8km/L), and the CO₂ emission is 99g/km.
