AMD Launches Ryzen 58400F and Ryzen 78700F Processors in Global Market

TapTechNews May 2nd news, the AMD Ryzen 58400F and Ryzen 78700F, two AM5 processors without integrated graphics, which debuted in the Chinese whole machine market, officially landed in the global retail market today.

It is worth noting that the final pricing of the two processors is $169 for the Ryzen 58400F and $269 for the Ryzen 78700F, different from the previous listing on e-commerce platforms of $189.99 / $299.99, respectively (TapTechNews note: approximately ¥1224 / ¥1948).

AMD compared the performance of the R78700F with the i5-14400F in games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Watch Dogs: Legion, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Elden Ring, War Thunder, and Tom Clancy's The Division 2, achieving a double-digit percentage lead.

The R58400F outperforms the i5-13400F processor in games such as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Tom Clancy's The Division 2, Watch Dogs: Legion, Red Dead Redemption 2, Control, Forza Horizon 5, and Elden Ring.

In terms of specifications, both processors use the Zen4 architecture, based on the PhoenixAPU chip (i.e. the mobile Ryzen 7040/8040 series and the desktop Ryzen 8000G series), offering a total of 20 PCIe 4.0 channels (16 available), with specific parameters as follows:

The Ryzen 78700F can be seen as a downclocked version of the Ryzen 78700G processor without integrated graphics, with a max boost frequency of 5.1GHz and a base frequency of 4.2GHz;

The Ryzen 58400F can be seen as a downclocked version of the Ryzen 58600G processor without integrated graphics, with a max boost frequency of 5.0GHz and a base frequency of 4.3GHz.

In addition, the Ryzen 78700F still has an NPU with a computing power of 16 TOPS, while the Ryzen 58400F does not include an NPU.
