Porsche's 2024 First Half Sales Global, Chinese and Regional Performances

The global sales volume in the first half of 2024 was 155,945 units, compared to 167,354 units in the same period of the previous year, a decrease of 7%. The sales volume in the Chinese market was 29,551 units, a 33% decrease compared to 43,832 units in the same period of the previous year.

TapTechNews noted that this result was achieved under the background of Porsche's product renewal and replacement. Currently, five models of Porsche, including Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, Taycan and 911, are all in the stage of model change, which will inevitably have an impact on the supply in some markets.

By region, Porsche achieved a 6% year-on-year growth in the European market (excluding Germany), with a delivery volume of 38,611 units. In the German local market, the delivery volume even increased by 22% to 20,811 units. The Chinese market has declined, with a delivery volume of 29,551 units, a 33% decrease year-on-year. The delivery volume in the North American market was 39,558 units, a 6% decrease year-on-year. The delivery volume in overseas emerging markets was 27,414 units, the same as that in the same period of the previous year.

In terms of specific models, the Cayenne had the highest delivery volume, reaching 54,587 units, a 16% increase year-on-year. Due to the model change in multiple markets, the delivery volume of the Macan model was 39,167 units, a 18% decrease year-on-year. The pure electric model Taycan delivered 8,838 units in the first half of the year, a 51% decrease, which is also related to the model change. The legendary sports car 911 still maintained a strong momentum, with a global delivery volume of 28,212 units, an 8% increase year-on-year. The delivery volume of the Panamera was 13,255 units, a 25% decrease year-on-year, also due to the model change. The delivery volume of the 718Boxster and 718Cayman models was 11,886 units, an 8% increase year-on-year.
