In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to insufficient pressure resistance performance of the internal parts of the high-pressure fuel pump, wear may occur inside the fuel pump, resulting in cracks at the welded part of the fuel pump due to stress concentration. In extreme cases, fuel may leak from the crack. If it comes into contact with an external fire source at this time, there is a risk of fire. At the same time, fuel leakage and volatilization pose an unreasonable emission hazard..

GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will inspect the high-pressure fuel pump for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, and replace the unqualified parts with the improved high-pressure fuel pump to eliminate potential safety hazards and unreasonable emission hazards.

Emergency handling measures: Before the recall repair, the vehicle should avoid approaching the fire source as much as possible; if the user finds that there is a fuel odor or fuel seepage, they should stop using the vehicle and contact the dealer for handling.

This recall is an expanded recall of the recall activity of FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., and Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. recalling some domestic and imported vehicles released on December 1, 2023.
