Activision Blizzard stated, 'In order to provide the highest quality gameplay experience while reducing the hard drive space occupied by the game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will adopt streaming texture technology in all game modes. This means you will need a continuous internet connection to play any mode, including the campaign mode. However, console players do not need a paid membership service such as Xbox GamePass Core or PlayStation Plus when playing the campaign mode.'

TapTechNews noted that Activision Blizzard also mentioned that this game will support split-screen cooperative play on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles, but 'in order to ensure performance stability', this feature will not be available on Xbox One and PS4.

Activision Blizzard also announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be launched on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC platforms on October 25th, 2024.
