BYD Releases Official Image of Song LDM-i with Details

TapTechNews July 6th news, BYD released the official image of its Song LDM-i model today. The car is equipped with the fifth-generation DM hybrid system, and the price is expected to be around $21,500-$26,000.

It is introduced that the Song LDM-i inherits the design language of the Dynasty Network family. Its front face design is similar to that of the Qin LDM-i, with a large hexagonal grille and headlights connected by black trim strips. The side adopts a fastback shape and is equipped with hidden door handles and rear privacy glass. The design style is similar to that of the Qin LDM-i that was launched not long ago. In addition, the car can also optionally install the Song L logo.

In terms of specifications, TapTechNews learned that the car's length, width and height are respectively 188.18x74.73x65.75 inches (approximate values), and the wheelbase is 109.65 inches, with a total mass of 5273.23 pounds. The car is equipped with an 1498ml displacement engine with a maximum power of 74kW; the peak power of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is 160kW.

Referring to the list of models in the Catalog of Energy-Saving and New Energy Automobiles Enjoying Tax Relief for Vehicle and Vessel Tax (Batch 63) released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on June 13th, it shows that the BYD Song LDM-i is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a maximum power of 74 kilowatts, matching 18.316 kWh and 26.593 kWh battery packs. Correspondingly the pure electric cruising range under the WLTC condition is 56.5 miles and 79.5 miles respectively, and the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers under馈电condition is 4.95 liters and 4.98 liters respectively.
