TapTechNews sorts out the details of this Beta version update as follows:

Supported hardware

The phones supported by Honor Android 15 Beta2 are Honor Magic6Pro and Honor MagicV2, other models are not supported for the time being.

It is necessary to upgrade to the product version that supports Honor Android 15 Beta2 first:

Honor Magic6Pro: BVL-AN168.0.0.130-8.0.0.138

Honor MagicV2: VER-AN108.0.0.126-8.0.0.136

Upgrade/rollback method

This upgrade will not clear the user data, but it is still recommended that users back up the data before testing; the new system after the upgrade uses a new user partition, which is not shared with the original system user partition, and the data of the original system user partition cannot be obtained in the new system.

1. Please select and download the corresponding upgrade package according to the device.

2. Environmental preparation:

Prepare the adb tool, the python environment and the Honor Mobile Assistant on the computer side

Reserve more than 60GB of space on the phone side, click the version number 7 times in Settings → About Phone to open the Developer Mode.

In Settings → System and Updates → Developer Options, allow USB debugging and connect to the computer via a USB cable.

3. Unzip the upgrade package to the relative path on the computer, and then unzip the file relative path/Software/dsu_pkg_and_tool.zip to the current path again, and run the script pythondsu_tool_for_win.py in it to execute the installation.

4. Please check the installation progress of the phone: after the installation is completed, click Restart to enter the new system. After the phone enters the new system, click Rollback to return to the old system. If the rollback notice is deleted, adb shell gsi_tool disable can be executed and the phone can be restarted to roll back to the old system.

Problem feedback method

Open My Honor → Service → Equipment Detection

Need to agree to the privacy statement for the first time, click Agree, and enter the main page

Click the menu on the upper right Problem Feedback, and enter the problem type selection page

Select the Problem Classification (mandatory), click Enable Log (select according to the fault type), click Next.

Selecting to enable the log will enable the diagnostic mode, otherwise directly start the no-log feedback (skip directly to STEP7).

After the problem recurs, slide down the notification bar and click Feedback Problem to package the log.

In the feedback interface, fill in the Problem Details and Problem Occurrence Time (these two items are required), and upload videos/pictures/audio related to the problem, click Submit to upload the feedback information and log, and click Save to store it locally, and then click Submit to feedback to the server later.

After the submission is successful, slide to the Feedback Record page to view the feedback list and feedback progress. After clicking submit, a problem order number will be generated.

After the upload is completed, the Append Log button appears. Click Append Log to continue to supplement the submitted information. Turning on the Append Log Feedback switch can capture the log again.
