To reduce costs, the aforementioned new electric vehicle will be an SUV that combines the components of bZ4X and other models.

Subaru announced at a news conference in May 2024 that it will mutually provide four electric vehicle models with Toyota by the end of 2026, because Subaru considers itself as difficult to go it alone - it is difficult to develop electric vehicles by itself, so it will enrich its product lineup with the help of Toyota.

Subaru's goal is to sell 600,000 electric vehicles annually by 2030, and at that time, electric vehicles will account for 50% of its global sales, which is half of the total.
