TapTechNews May 26th, the unofficial Minecraft VR version, QuestCraft, has received a 5.0 update. This update is adapted for the Quest 3 device, allowing players of this head-mounted display to enjoy this classic sandbox game smoothly at a frame rate of up to 120 FPS. (FPS stands for Frames Per Second.)

Previously due to technical limitations, QuestCraft has been unable to be compatible with the newly launched Quest 3 head-mounted display. However, according to the recent IndieSpotlight conference of SideQuest, the 5.0 version of QuestCraft has now been officially launched, perfectly solving the compatibility problem.

TapTechNews noticed that in addition to increasing the frame rate, QuestCraft 5.0 also brings many improvements. The update includes: enhanced Mod compatibility, optimized resource utilization, a brand-new launcher interface, and added support for the first-generation Quest head-mounted display.

It should be noted that, similar to other unofficial VR versions, QuestCraft does not directly provide the Minecraft game itself, but only an auxiliary tool for players to run Minecraft on independent hardware. To use QuestCraft, players need to own the genuine Minecraft Java or Bedrock version (PC side) and a Microsoft account.

Currently, QuestCraft can be downloaded and installed through SideQuest, and the PicoCraft version for Pico devices will also be launched later this year.
