2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and Shanghai Declaration Released

TapTechNews July 5, it is reported by Xinhua News Agency that on July 4, the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-level Conference on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence released the Shanghai Declaration on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter referred to as the Declaration).

The Declaration mentioned that it advocates the spirit of openness and sharing, and promotes the exchange and cooperation of global artificial intelligence research resources. Establish a cooperation platform to promote technology transfer and achievement transformation, and promote the fair distribution of artificial intelligence infrastructure, avoiding technical barriers, to jointly enhance the development level of global artificial intelligence.

The 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2024) is held in Shanghai from July 4 to 6. The theme of this conference is To Promote Sharing through Consultation and to Promote Smartness through Good Governance, and it is jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Association for Science and Technology, and the Shanghai Municipal Government.
