AMD to Release Zen6 Architecture Chip in 2025 with TSMC N3E Process

TapTechNews July 5th, sources like Moore'sLawIsDead revealed that AMD will release the Zen6 architecture chip in the second quarter of 2025. It adopts TSMC's N3E process, and the mass production work will start as early as before the end of 2025, but the possibility of being postponed to 2026 is not ruled out.

In April this year, the source said that the Zen6 architecture processor includes the standard version, the DenseClassic version and the ClientDense version. In terms of core configuration, there are three types: 8-core (Zen6), 16-core (Zen6c), and 32-core (Zen6cExtended).

High-end laptop version (such as MedusaPoint)

AM5 platform version (such as MedusaRidge)

Version suitable for both gaming laptops and desktops (such as MedusaHalo)

AMD released StrixPoint at the 2024 Computex Taipei. This product adopted the combination of the Zen5 series and RDNA3.5 architecture. However, the latest news said that AMD adjusted the 3nm production plan, and the release date of StrixPoint was postponed by 2 quarters, and it may even have been cancelled.
