First Cold Region Autonomous Driving Test Site in China Settled in Heihe

TapTechNews June 26 news, TapTechNews learned from the official public account released in Harbin that the first autonomous driving test site in the cold region in China has settled in Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province.

It is reported that since 2019, the Ministry of Transport has successively identified 8 autonomous driving test sites in Beijing, Shanghai, Xiangyang, Chongqing and other places.

The autonomous driving test site in Heihe City, which is constructed and operated by the affiliated Zhilian Company of the Information Technology Company of Heilongjiang Provincial Transport Investment Group, successfully passed the review and accreditation of the Ministry of Transport and officially became the ninth in China to obtain the autonomous driving closed test base certified by the national ministries and commissions.

The autonomous driving test site in Heihe City has successively built and improved test scenarios and supporting facilities such as tunnels, S-shaped bends, dynamic plazas, controllable lighting, etc., forming 14 major scenario test units and 48 test scenarios, becoming the only closed land-based autonomous driving full-scenario test site with the most complete scenarios and the coldest in China in the cold region of our country.
