TapTechNews reported on May 16 that Patriot has recently launched a 270° panoramic sea-view chassis, the Star Diamond Dalan, which supports ATX rear-inserted motherboards. The chassis is available in black and white colors, both priced at 499 yuan (about 77 USD).
As a larger version of the previously released Star Dalan chassis, the Star Diamond Dalan continues the design elements of this series (such as vertical mesh holes on the left side) and further optimizes overall heat dissipation performance.
The chassis adds a mesh area on the right side behind the power compartment to facilitate air exchange in the power compartment and improve the in and out air capabilities of the fan positions above the power compartment.
In addition, the Star Diamond Dalan has added a hinged bracket behind the motherboard for cable management, as well as providing 2 2.5-inch HDD slots and 2 3.5/2.5-inch compatible HDD slots.
The PCIe slot panel of this chassis is removable and supports vertical GPU installation (PCIe extension cable not included).
In terms of I/O, Patriot has equipped the Star Diamond Dalan with 1 10G USB Type-C port, 2 5G Type-A ports, and 1 3.5mm audio port.
The Star Diamond Dalan chassis is compatible with CPU coolers up to 185mm in height and graphics cards up to 400mm in length, sufficient for high-end hardware requirements. In addition to the bracket, the power compartment also provides an additional 3.5/2.5-inch compatible HDD expansion slot.
