Elon Musk Warns Bill Gates and Tesla Shortsellers 'Will Be Eliminated'

Tesla has attracted a large number of short-sellers in the past few years. Those who are bearish on Tesla believe that the company is about to fall into a financial crisis, and that the company has been lying on its financial statements for years and will eventually collectively lose billions of dollars.

Many Tesla short-sellers eventually gave up their positions a few years ago, but there are still many who insist on shorting. Musk believes that this is just the beginning of further pain for short-sellers. Musk said on the X platform: 'Once Tesla completely solves autonomous driving and mass-produces the Optimus robot, anyone who still holds a short position will be eliminated, even Gates.'

Tesla plans to hold a dedicated event on August 8th to launch its autonomous taxi Robotaxi, marking a true final step towards solving the autonomous driving problem. However, there are also certain reasons for people to be skeptical as Tesla has previously announced the launch times of some products but ultimately postponed them.

Due to strong quarterly delivery data, Tesla's stock price rose by more than 9% today. In the past month, the stock has risen nearly 30%. In the past five years, Tesla's stock price has soared by more than 1300%.
