It is introduced that after three years of research and development efforts, the MA60 fire-fighting aircraft has completed platform development, water-dropping test flight, actual combat verification and other work, innovatively developed intelligent systems such as the fire situation perception system and the auxiliary precise delivery system, and conquered a number of core key technologies such as the design of the flight stability and aerodynamic characteristics of the water-dropping operation of medium and large fixed-wing fire-fighting aircrafts and the design of the pressure tank gravity water-dropping fire-extinguishing system, obtaining the first domestic fixed-wing fire-fighting aircraft airworthiness certification.

TapTechNews learned that the MA60 fire-fighting aircraft integrates multiple functions such as water-dropping fire-extinguishing, fire situation monitoring, communication command, personnel transportation, and material transportation, and has the actual combat capabilities of a maximum water-carrying capacity of 6 tons, a maximum personnel transportation quantity of 28 people, and a maximum cargo transportation weight of 3.7 tons.

The Ministry of Emergency Management said that it will make overall arrangements for the 2 MA60 fire-fighting aircrafts according to the disaster situation and actual combat needs, give full play to its advantages in long-distance maneuvering and large-volume water fire-extinguishing, and accelerate the construction of an emergency rescue aircraft system with large fixed-wing aircrafts, helicopters and drones with high and low matching, reasonable layout, and complementary functions, and promote the new productive forces to empower emergency rescue.
