Leica Rumored to Launch Special Edition Q3 with New Lens by Year-End

TapTechNews August 25th news, even before the Leica Q3 was not yet released, there were rumors that Leica company planned to equip this fixed-focus full-frame camera with a medium focal length lens, but in the end, Leica company did not modify the lens configuration of Q3, and it still carries the Summilux 28mm f/1.7 wide-angle lens inherited from the Q1 era until now.

However, currently, the foreign media LeicaRmuors reveals that Leica is expected to launch a special edition Leica Q3 with a 43mm f/2 APO lens by the end of this year, but the specific focal length has not been determined yet.

Considering that Leica company has only launched one Summicron-C 40mm f/2 lens suitable for the CL model in that year and one Minilux point-and-shoot camera with a standard Summarit 40mm f/2.4 fixed-focus lens in history, therefore, TapTechNews believes that the possibility of this camera using a 40mm focal length is also relatively large.

As a comparison, the current Leica Q3 camera is equipped with a 60MP sensor (supporting digital cropping zoom), has a built-in Maestro IV processor and 8GB buffer memory, uses phase detection, and the Chinese national guide price is 50,800 yuan (about 7120 US dollars).
