Apple is adding hearing aid and hearing test functions to AirPods Pro 2, so this update may introduce these capabilities or lay the foundation for future updates. Apple plans to launch the hearing aid feature for AirPods Pro 2 this year and has obtained FDA approval. Apple should not push this feature to AirPods 4.

TapTechNews note: Apple does not provide a manual method to upgrade AirPods software, but usually, when AirPods are placed in the charging case and connected to an iOS device or Mac, the firmware will be automatically installed wirelessly.
