Rahman said in the tweet: 'The Adaptive Vibration function is exclusive to Pixel phones, so don't expect to experience this function on other Android 15-running phones (unless the OEM manufacturer推出 its own version)'.

TapTechNews reported on May 17th that this function is located under 'Sound and Vibration' > 'Vibration and Haptics' in the Android 15 Beta 2 settings and is currently in effect on Pixel 7Pro and Pixel 8Pro phones.

According to the function description, 'Adaptive Vibration' will automatically adjust the vibration of the phone according to the environment you are in, and the working principle is to use the phone's microphone and other sensors to determine the sound and the surrounding environment. Google promises that in order to protect privacy, it will not record any data.

On the Adaptive Vibration page, Android provides a useful animation explaining the function's role. The animation shows that when this function is enabled, the vibration intensity of the phone's haptics will be greater when the phone is placed on the sofa, and will be smaller when placed on the table.
