Microsoft Announces New Features of Copilot for Microsoft 365 in July

On June 30, TapTechNews reported that Microsoft recently announced a series of new features of its highly anticipated intelligent assistance hand, Copilot for Microsoft 365, which will be launched in July, further strengthening the integration of this service in many of Microsoft's software products.

One highly anticipated update is to introduce Microsoft's artificial intelligence art creation tool, 'Designer', into Word and PowerPoint applications. Users can simply open Copilot and describe their needs via text instructions, and Copilot will automatically generate images. Not only that, users can also search through Microsoft's official image library via Copilot instructions and easily select the appropriate image. In PowerPoint, the Designer will automatically integrate the selected image into the slide design.

Another major update of Copilot is the upcoming SharePoint Text v1 version in July. SharePoint users can directly modify the existing text content on SharePoint news posts and sites through Copilot. This function allows users to easily change the tone of the text, review before replacing content, adjust the text length, and even realize automatic text rewriting.

TapTechNews noticed that Microsoft also announced the expansion of the applicability of Copilot for Microsoft 365 to more individual software subscription plans. Users of these plans can now add Copilot as an additional service, including:

Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise editions applications

Microsoft Teams Essentials, Enterprise, and EEA editions
