BYD Unveils Seal 07 DM-i with Advanced Features and Long Range
TapTechNews August 8th news, in addition to the 2025 Seal pure electric model, BYD also brought the Seal 07 DM-i tonight, equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology, with a starting price of $20,500.
The Seal 07 DM-i adopts the family-style front face design of the Ocean Network, with sharp headlights on both sides, a fastback side curve and a semi-concealed door handle, and a popular through-type taillight at the rear. The body size of the Seal 07 DM-i is 164.02*74.41*58.86 inches with a wheelbase of 114.17 inches.
In the cockpit, the Seal 07 DM-i is all-standard with the interior color of Streaming Light Gray, and new features such as steering wheel heating and rear seat ventilation and heating are added. Depending on the different models, the car is equipped with an 8.8-inch or 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster, as well as a 12.8-inch or 15.6-inch adaptive suspension central control screen, and is equipped with the DiLink 50 or DiLink 100 vehicle-mounted system.
All-standard with the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system to achieve L2 level driving assistance. The car is equipped with 13 airbags, all-standard with AEB automatic emergency braking, all-standard with FCW forward collision warning, and all-standard with ELKA emergency lane keeping assistance.
The car offers two power versions of 1.5 liters plug-in hybrid and 1.5T plug-in hybrid. The 1.5-liter engine has a maximum power of 100 kilowatts, combined with a drive motor with a maximum power of 160 kilowatts; the 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 150 kilowatts, combined with a drive motor with a maximum power of 200 kilowatts.
In terms of the battery, the car provides two battery capacity versions of 10.08 kWh and 17.6 kWh, corresponding to a pure electric range of 34 miles and 62 miles, respectively. In addition, the Seal 07 DM-i has the world's highest thermal efficiency of 46.06%, a fuel consumption of 3.41 liters per 100 kilometers when the battery is depleted, and a comprehensive cruising range of more than 1242.74 miles when fully fueled and fully charged.
