Renault R17 Electric Restomod x OraÏto Concept Car to Debut at 2024 Paris Motor Show

TapTechNews September 16th news, Renault announced the real car images of its R17 electric restomod x OraÏto concept car on the X platform, and the car will make its world debut at the 2024 Paris Motor Show which opens on October 13th.

In terms of appearance, the car is jointly created by the Renault brand and the French designer OraÏto, which can be understood as a pure electric reproduction version of the Renault 17 coupe launched by Renault in the 1970s. Its overall continuation of the elements of the Renault 17 coupe, adopts a two-door design, uses a flat front panel to replace the air intake grille, and is equipped with closed wheel rims, and the visual effect is more cyberpunk style.

In terms of the cockpit, the interior of the car is extremely retro punk, using wood grain decoration. The driver's console uses four square liquid crystal instrument panels arranged in parallel, and there is a screen that can display time information below the center console, imitating the retro style from 1950 to 1970.

In the power part, the Renault R17 concept car is equipped with a 270-horsepower rear-mounted electric motor, and it can travel 249 miles (TapTechNews note: about 400.73 kilometers) on a single charge. It also has a carbon fiber chassis, which can control the body weight at 1400 kg, which is lighter than the Lotus Emira. However, this car will not be put into mass production and is only planned to be displayed in several events this year.
