The TapTechNews noticed that the CMFPhone1 has a distinctive design, and its back cover is fixed with four flat-head screws and an accessory knob, rather than the common adhesive in the industry.

After unscrewing the screws, the plastic back cover can be easily disassembled. However, replacing the battery is not an easy task. A thin protective layer covers the battery, and removing this layer will result in the invalidation of the phone's warranty.

Then there are 12 Phillips screws, and each screw is labeled with an anti-tamper label, and removing it also means losing the warranty. After unscrewing the screws, the top camera module and antenna cable can be seen.

Next is one of the core components of the phone, the motherboard, which integrates the chip, memory, storage, sensors, and front and rear cameras. PBKreviews pointed out that due to a hidden screw under the accessory knob, battery removal becomes very difficult. Only by removing this screw can the battery be taken out.

PBKreviews gave the CMFPhone1 a repairability score of 6.5 points (out of 10 points). The hidden battery screw, anti-tamper stickers, and the speaker and motherboard cover that are more difficult to remove than other phones all make the repair process complicated and will cause the user to lose the warranty.
