China Unicom Releases IPv6+-Based Internet of Vehicles Solution

TapTechNews July 15th news, during the 23rd China Internet Conference held last week, China Unicom successfully held the 'Next-generation Internet Technology and Industry Development Forum'.

At the forum, China Unicom Research Institute, Unicom Smart Network Technology, and Hebei Unicom Branch jointly with Huawei and Inspur jointly released the result of 'IPv6+-based Internet of Vehicles Solution and Live Network Test'.

It is introduced that China Unicom proposed an end-network-cloud collaborative integrated solution based on IPv6+ from the needs of the Internet of Vehicles scenario, which contains two major innovation points:

One is based on the hybrid computing power routing technology pioneered in the industry, providing flexible and agile optimal service access for the Internet of Vehicles;

The other is based on application awareness and in-flow detection technology to provide accurate identification and differentiated service guarantee for vehicle-terminal businesses.

China Unicom announced that it has currently completed the first IPv6+ computing power network demonstration base for the Internet of Vehicles scenario in Xiong'an, Hebei, and completed the first live network pilot based on IPv6+ for the remote driving scenario in the industry.
