Samsung Denies Launching Olympic Special Edition Phone with LVMH

TapTechNews July 10th news, Samsung Electronics released a statement yesterday (July 9th), denying the cooperation with the French luxury giant LVMH Group to launch an Olympic special edition phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event.

A senior executive of the Samsung company said that Samsung has no cooperation with any partner to launch an Olympic phone at this stage, but refused to further explain whether it is possible to launch an Olympic-themed special edition phone in the future.

TapTechNews quoted a South Korean media report on Tuesday that Samsung and the LVMH Group have been discussing the launch of a special edition folding phone, which may be the Galaxy ZFold 6 or the Galaxy ZFlip 6, and will be co-branded with one of about 30 brands under the LVMH Group.

The report said that this phone is very likely to be the Olympic version and will be distributed to this year's Olympic athletes. Samsung is a long-term official partner of the Olympics and has provided special edition phones to athletes during the Olympics.
