TapTechNews October 8th news, the source fujirumors posted a blog yesterday (October 7th), reporting that Fujifilm will hold the XSummit conference on October 14th and is expected to launch the X-M5 entry-level mirrorless camera.
The source disclosed that the selling point of the Fujifilm X-M5 mirrorless camera is fast autofocus, meaning the new model may be equipped with new firmware to significantly improve the autofocus experience.
The source also shared multiple photos of the Fujifilm X-M5 and compared it with the existing X-E4. It can be seen that the X-M5 is more compact and is relatively close to the X-M1 released 11 years ago. TapTechNews attaches the comparison chart as follows:
The top of the X-M5 is compactly laid out, with the top-mounted flash removed and a new film simulation dial added, with up to 20 different film filters built in.
It is reported that the X-M5 will adopt a 26-million-pixel X-TransCMOS4 sensor and be equipped with the latest X-Processor5 image processor, but without in-body image stabilization.
The XF16-55mmIIF2.8RLMWR lens has successfully slimmed down by 30%, using a 72mm diameter filter, which is smaller than the existing 77mm filter, improving shooting mobility and saving costs.
