Fujifilm Developing X-E5 Camera Despite X-E4's Poor Sales

TapTechNews May 25th, according to foreign media FujiRumors, it was revealed from a'reliable source' that although the sales of Fujifilm's X-E4 camera were not good, the company did not give up the X-E product line and is currently developing the X-E5 camera, which is expected to be released next year. However, the foreign media did not mention the X-PRO product line that has also not been updated for a long time.

However, the configuration information of the relevant model is not known at present. Referring to the previous product line positioning of Fujifilm X-E4 being the'same hardware' as X-T30I (only with appearance differences), it is expected that Fujifilm X-E5 will adopt the same 40.2MP CMOS as Fujifilm X-T50 and be equipped with the X-Processor5 processor, and support configurations such as 7.0 stops of IBIS five-axis anti-shake.

For comparison, TapTechNews once reported that Fujifilm X-E4 was released in January 2021, and the body of the camera cost 5699 yuan. In September of the same year, when Fujifilm X-T30II was launched, there was no single-body version available. The XC35F2 kit sold for 6099 yuan, and the recently launched Fujifilm X-T50 camera also did not offer a single-body version, and the XC35F2 kit sold for 10890 yuan. It is expected that the price of the X-E5 camera will also increase.
