GAC Aion's New Electric Sedan Aion RT Completes Declaration

TapTechNews September 13th news, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today released the Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products (Batch 387), which means that the once-a-month Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Auto Show has now kicked off.

A new all-electric sedan under GAC Aion - Aion RT has completed this declaration. The styling of this car uses a large number of curves, presenting an overall dynamic and smooth temperament. Judging from the body size, the car is expected to be positioned as a midsize sedan, with a length, width and height of 4865/1875/1520 millimeters respectively, and a wheelbase of 2775 millimeters.

From the optional configuration, the car provides rooftop lidar, front and rear cameras, privacy glass, door handles/charging covers of different colors, sunroof and a variety of tail badges for selection. In addition to the RT in the main picture, the car also provides two different model names of T and VT.

TapTechNews learned that the new car has declared two different power powertrain systems, and the engines are all from Raypower Technology Co., Ltd., with the maximum power of 150 kW/165 kW respectively, and is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery.

For comparison, the current sedan sold by GAC Aion - Aion S has a length, width and height of 4810 (4863) * 1880 (1890) * 1515 millimeters, and a wheelbase of 2750 (2760) millimeters. The Aion RT that has just completed the declaration is expected to be slightly higher in positioning than Aion S.
