TapTechNews June 6, it is reported that recently, there is a new court notice added in the commercial defamation dispute case between Beijing Baidu Netcom Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Douyin Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Douyin Information Service Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Toutiao.com Technology Co., Ltd.
The plaintiff of this case is Beijing Baidu Netcom Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and the court hearing will be held in Hangzhou Railway Transport Court on June 13.
TapTechNews noted that this is not the first time that Baidu and ByteDance have had case disputes. As early as 2018, when Baidu's crawler detected the unstable state of Toutiao.com's official website during indexing and collection, it automatically marked it with stability abnormality, and then the two sides went to court.
In 2021, ByteDance sued Baidu Baijiahao for publishing its "Toutiaohao" works, and won 40 RMB ($5.8) in the first instance.
In 2023, Zhejiang Toutiao.com Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Weibo Vision Technology Co., Ltd. once sued Beijing Baidu Netcom Science and Technology Co., Ltd. for commercial defamation.
