JD Express Upgrades Maximum Weight Limit for Heavy Goods Collection

TapTechNews May 15th news, JD Logistics announced that JD Express has upgraded the maximum weight limit for heavy goods upstairs collection: the weight limit has been increased to 135kg, and the longest side has been increased to 2.5m.

The products transported by express delivery are mainly concentrated in categories such as furniture, household appliances, kitchen appliances, and sanitary ware. With the upgrading and iteration of product specifications, the original collection weight and volume limits are becoming increasingly unable to meet the needs of merchants.

Take refrigerators as an example. In the past, the main refrigerators sold on the market were ordinary double-door refrigerators, with a volume mostly below 200L, a height mostly around 3500px~4000px, and a weight mostly around 30kg~50kg. Nowadays, refrigerator specifications such as French door and three-door are becoming increasingly popular in the market, with a volume of up to 500L, a height generally exceeding 2 meters, and a weight mostly exceeding 100kg, exceeding the collection limit of many logistics service providers.

Recently, JD has made many upgrades in logistics. According to TapTechNews' previous report, when consumers choose JD Express for express delivery and choose air transportation, if the actual arrival time of the express is later than the time displayed on the order page, JD Express customer service will proactively call the consumer to compensate for the freight, even if the express is only late by 1 minute, they will fully compensate.

In addition, JD Express has upgraded the timeliness of more than 10 express routes from Wuhan to Zhengzhou, Changsha, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Nanchang, and other cities. The timeliness of shipping from the central China four provinces has been upgraded to next day delivery.
