TapTechNews learned from the report that in the macOS 15 Sequoia system session at the WWDC2024 Global Developer Conference, Apple推出了 version 2 of the GamePortingToolkit, and one of the new features is to port the games on the macOS system to the Apple iOS system.

In a meeting at WWDC2024, the company mentioned that developers can now use the GamePortingToolkit to port Windows games to macOS and then port the macOS version to the iPhone and iPad.

Apple said that macOS and iOS share the use of the same SDK and API, which can support game controllers, audio and graphic experiences. For example, the haptic engine of the iPhone can be easily replicated as the vibration achieved by the gamepad. In this way, after developers optimize the games for the macOS platform, they can be easily ported to iOS.
