VAIO Unveils the Lightest Portable Monitor Vision+14 in Japan

TapTechNews July 1st news, VAIO released the world's lightest portable monitor product, Vision+14, in Japan today. It has a 14-inch size, with a resolution of 1920x1200 and a refresh rate of 60Hz, and supports 100% sRGB color gamut coverage.

The biggest feature of this monitor is its 'lightness and thinness' - weighing only 0.717 pounds (about 325 grams), and the thinnest part of the appearance is only 0.154 inches (about 3.9 mm). But the product also has strong rigidity, and the fuselage is made of thermoplastic three-dimensional molded carbon material, achieving high strength and lightweight.

Its appearance adopts a black narrow frame design, and there is a small bracket on the back, which can be opened to nearly 90 degrees, and can be placed horizontally by itself, and the angle can be adjusted steplessly. This monitor is equipped with a physical button for adjusting the monitor's brightness - there isn't even a power button.

Interface-wise, two USB-C interfaces are equipped on its right side, and both can perform the same functions. One interface can connect with laptops and other devices that are compatible with the DisplayPort Alt mode to complete the screen projection; the other interface can be used for PD fast charging.

The official said that the product has passed the drop test at a height of 50 inches, impact and vibration tests, and various durability tests based on MIL-STD-810H, and has strong firmness and durability.

This monitor is accepting reservations in Japan today, and will go on sale on the online platform on July 4th, with a price of 54,800 yen (TapTechNews note: currently about 445 US dollars).
